1. Light
(1) Provide bright, indirect light to maintain its vibrant lime variegation and support growth. Some morning sun is acceptable.
(2) Avoid intense direct afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves. Too little light may cause the plant to revert to greener foliage.
2. Watering
(1) Water thoroughly when the top 50-75% of the soil has dried out.
(2) Ensure the pot has excellent drainage to prevent root rot. Avoid letting the plant sit in water.
3. Soil & Potting
(1) Use a well-aerated, chunky aroid mix. A combination of potting soil, orchid bark, perlite, and horticultural charcoal is ideal.
(2) Repot every 1-2 years or when the plant becomes root-bound.
4. Temperature & Humidity
(1) Maintain temperatures between 18°C – 29°C (65°F – 85°F). Protect from drafts and sudden temperature drops.
(2) Prefers moderate to high humidity (50-60% or higher). A humidifier or pebble tray can help, especially in dry environments.
5. Fertilizing
(1) Feed with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer diluted to half-strength during the active growing season (spring and summer).
(2) Reduce or stop fertilizing in autumn and winter when growth slows.
